Establishing the system ISO 22000:2005
The most successful and most famous joint stock company, the factory for chocolates, wafer and candies EVROPA-Skopje has finished the implementation successfully and set the Food Safety Management System ISO 22000:2005, which contains of the Quality Management System, HACCP system and the pre-conditioned programs for controlling and reducing the food safety problems to an acceptable level. The certification is performed by a prestigious certification company SGS, from Switzerland on June 2nd 2009,a company that has issued more than 80 thousand certificates in its long-standing work.
The joint stock company EVROPA dates from 1882, when it was formed as a craftsman's workshop for production of candy, locum and similar products from sugar. The workshop's equipment in those days was very modest. During the 130years of work, EVROPA has advanced and modernized its equipment, constantly increases its capacities and improves its infrastructure. The purchased quality equipment from Western Europe has given an excellent quality of our products. Special attention is paid to the food safety and the quality of the products through complete control during every phase of production from the entrance of raw materials to the final product that is performed in its laboratories.
With establishing the system ISO 22000:2005 the joint stock company EVROPA has ensured production of safe confectionery products ,continuous maintaining of the sanitary-hygienic protection of the products ,constant education of the employees ,investment in knowledge ,new technology and development and following the world trends of the confectionery products. The system gives great significance to everything from purchase of raw materials to the final consumer.
The Food Safety Management System ISO 22000:2005 is a standard which classifies certain demands for food safety management, where
the company provides capability to control the potential dangers to the food safety. In that way it is ensured that the food is safe for people to use. With establishing this standard the dangers are reduced, which contributes to the protection of the consumers and the the improvement of the quality of the products.
The standard integrates HACCP(Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point), the principles and demands developed by the Codex Alimentarius Commission. There are also significant similarities with the Quality Management System ISO 9001:2008 and the comparison will reveal that most of the disciplines include the necessity of efficient governing of the processes and continuous improvement that is incorporated in ISO 22000:2005.
